USHUAIA: USHUAIA: The celebration of the longest night
Ushuaia each month of June celebrate the Feast of the "longest night", an event that represents a synthesis of Patagonia culture. For eight days, residents and visitors can enjoy regional cuisine, wine and live music, accompanied by a landscape of dreams. The festivities this year will take place between Friday 15 and Saturday 23 and will have as its main theme folklore. Organized by the city of Ushuaia, through the Undersecretary for Culture and Education, the festival is celebrated by 70, but was recognized as a national holiday until 1986. The name alludes to the celebration of June 21, when the sun rises around 10 in the morning and sets at 17, causing the shortest day of the year. The goal: to recognize the arrival of snow, the main attraction of this city that has fascinated and inspired many people. |
