Invincible - Barca win Club World Cup

Lionel Messi scored two wonder goals as European champions Barcelona ripped apart Brazil's Santos 4-0 to win their second Club World Cup in swashbuckling style today.

European Champions Barcelona will battle South American champions Santos in the finals of the FIFA Club world Cup today .The new Maradona, Lionel Messi will go head to head with the new Pele ,Neymar.Brazilian legend claimed recently that Neymar is better than Messi,Neymar will have to prove that today in the pitch as he will look to inspire Santos to win the Club World Cup for the first time in 50 years.Santos will be looking to win their third Club world cup while Barca are gunning for their second.

Barcelona were too strong for Asian champions  Al Sadd with a 4-0 victory in the semis to make it to the finals with a brace from Adriano and goals from Kaita and Maxwell.But the victory came at a high price as David Villa has been ruled out of the season due to the injury he sustained during the game.In 2009,Barcelona won six trophies and wrapped up their trophy haul with the Club World Cup beating Estudiantes 2-1 in the finals.This season Barca are gunning for their fifth title.

Coach Pep Guardiola will be looking to add to his impressive trophy haul in his three and half years as Barca coach and he insisted Barca are in Japan to win the Club World Cup.

Santos coach Muricy Ramalho called Barcelona "invincible" after .South American champions Santos defeated  Kashiwa Reysol 3-1 with wonderkid Neymar grabbing a goal.In the game against Kashiwa Reysol they were exposed to some counter attacking play  and Santos will have to do better against Barcelona.With the trio of Neymar,Ganso  and Elano showing some impressive displays in the semis,they will definitely give Barcelona a run for the money.Santos forward  Neymar has played down comparism of him to Messi when  he said: “I’ve always said that I still have a lot to learn. Messi’s a guy who’s already made history and he will achieve a lot more yet. I’m just starting out and I’ve a lot to do to get to his level.”

Argentine wizard Messi put Barcelona ahead in the 17th minute, exquisitely clipping a left-foot shot over goalkeeper Rafael Cabral after a clever ball from Xavi.Only seven minutes later it was 2-0 when Xavi himself latched on to a pinpoint pass from Dani Alves, beating one defender before smashing the ball home.Player of the tournament Messi made it 4-0 eight minutes from time, bursting past Cabral at breath-taking speed to slip the ball into the net and complete the rout.
