Palermo

In this neighbourhood there are important large parks, museums and elegant embassies; Palermo Viejo, in particular, has become one of the trendiest site of town. The green spaces of Palermo have not always been available to the public: the area around the Parque “3 de Febrero” was originally a private estate of the dictator Juan Manuel de Rosas, and after his fall (1852) became a public park. Within the immense expanse of green area there are the Jardin Japones, the Zoological Garden, the Jardin Botanico Carlos Thays and the Planetarium Galileo Galilei. North of Palermo you will find a small popular neighborhood Las Cañitas, home to many restaurants and nightclubs will be found.
